Born in 1964 in Esfahan, Iran, Dr Ramin Salouti completed his elementary and secondary education with top grades, receiving his diploma in 1982. He entered Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in 1983 and finished his MD program in 1990. Dr Salouti continued his education by pursuing a PhD in ophthalmology at the same university and after a 4-year period of training and residency, he earned his degree in 1994. Two years later, Dr Salouti sought a fellowship in Cornea and completed it at Khalili Hospital of Shiraz in 1998. Later, he also passed a clinical corneal fellowship at Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital of Melbourne University, Australia.
