Health Tourism
An exhibition on the health tourism of the Islamic countries was held on the sidelines of the congress. It focused on introducing the healthcare services, sports services, medicine industry, pharmaceutical industry, medical equipment, traditional medicine, medicinal herbs, and medical universities and technology parks.
Given that medical or health tourism is a burgeoning industry, such conferences should be held regularly to help countries demonstrate their potentials in this field.
Iran has recently made huge strides in improving its health tourism sector, by equipping its hospitals with the required facilities and services for foreign patients.
The country is also considered an ideal country for medical and cosmetic treatments for the affordability of such services compared with other countries, while the quality and efficacy of these treatments also meet the highest standards. Another factor that makes Iran a perfect country for health tourism is the diverse climate of the country, which is very attractive for visitors especially from the neighboring Arab countries.
