The Internationa Medical Tourism Exhibition and Conference (IMTEC) is an event being held annually in Muscat, Oman, to bring together active players in the health and medical tourism industry to explore new opportunities and potentials as well as to showcase the latest technologies, services, and achievements in this sector.
AriaMedTour, as the biggest tourism company in Iran, has participated in the latest edition of the event (IMTEC 2018), which was held from 24 to 26 April at Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre in the capital Muscat.
The company took the opportunity to represent Iran’s capabilities and capacity in health tourism and as well as to seek a foothold in the Omani medical tourism market. The officials of the AriaMedTour held meetings with representatives of Malaysian, Thai, Indian and Omani hospitals to talk about the possibility of cooperation in the medical tourism field.
AriaMedTour has plans to open a medical-tourism office in Oman to secure a foothold in the Arab country’s health market as well as to make it a gateway for medical tourists from other Arab countries to enter Iran.
During the exhibition, some foreign ambassadors to Oman as well as officials from Oman’s Ministry of Health lauded Iran’s developments in the healthcare industry and the great potential of this country in medical tourism. Interestingly, many of the attendees had already heard about AriaMedTour and they expressed their happiness to see the company at the event.
On the sidelines of the event, an Iranian dental clinic was inaugurated in Muscat, where Iranian dentists will offer medical and cosmetic dentistry services to Omani people. AriaMedTour’s president, Hadi Shari delivered a speech during the inauguration ceremony, talking about the capabilities of Iranian dentists and dental clinics.
Some 100 companies and institutions from a dozen countries participated in the IMTEC 2018, according to the organizers.
